The winner of the 2012 Distingushed Article Prize for the American Law and Economics Review is “Prison Conditions and Recidivism” by CSEF fellows Francesco Drago together with Roberto Galbiati, Department of Economics Sciences-Po, Paris, and Pietro Vertova, University of Bergamo.

On 23 October 2012, four research units including the following CSEF Fellows were awarded PRIN grants (as part of their respective nationwide teams): 1) Achille Basile, Giuseppe De Marco, Maria Gabriella Graziano and Marialaura Pesce (project on "Robust decision making in markets and organizations" coordinated by Marco Li Calzi); 2) Tullio Jappelli and Francesco Flaviano Russo (project "The economic impact of aging in Europe" coordinated by Agar Brugiavini); 3) Luigi Benfratello, Andrew Ellul and Marco Pagano (Naples unit of the project "Labor and Finance" coordinated by Fabiano Schivardi); and 4) Alberto Bennardo, Annamaria Menichini, Giovanni Immordino and Maria Grazia Romano (Salerno unit of the project "Labor and Finance").
